Another Shrinking Bikini

Claudine Auger's bikini was altered in the US version of the Thunderball Beach artwork by Robert McGinnis. Similar alterations were applied to the "Look Out" artwork and the "You Only Live Twice" bath scene. Thanks to Stephen for finding this!

US Library Editions

"Casino Royale" and other James Bond 007 library editions, Ian Fleming, published by MacMillan in 1965. These were published alongside the 9 book club editions (black boards with coloured spine stripe). A small contingent of these prints were issued a new dust jacket and were sold exclusively to libraries.

The painting was originally owned by Anne Fleming. She gave it to Mr and Mrs Beckett - who worked for the Fleming's - as a retirement present in 1974.
